The Media and Entertainment team of Grant Thornton UK LLP is
pleased to announce the promotion of Dominic Bolton to lead its
corporate finance media and entertainment division.
Bolton, a corporate finance partner at Grant Thornton, has 20
years' experience in corporate finance and has advised on a range
of media transactions. He has worked extensively with major
broadcasters, most recently advising AudioGo and its investor group
on their acquisition of an 85% stake in BBC Audiobooks. Bolton also
advised ITV plc on the sale of Carlton Screen Advertising to
Digital Cinema Media Ltd and has substantial listed company and
private equity advisory experience.
In his new role as practice leader of Grant Thornton's corporate
finance media and entertainment division, Bolton will focus on
providing a broader offering to the broadcast community whilst
continuing to work closely with the firm's market leading
Assurance, Tax and Due Diligence teams.
Speaking on Bolton's appointment, Mark Henshaw, Head of Media
and Entertainment at Grant Thornton says: "Dominic Bolton has a
great depth of knowledge in the media sector and I am delighted
that he will be leading the corporate finance work for the team
going forward. Dominic will be working alongside our highly
experienced partners within the team, including Christine Corner
and Terry Back to build on our already strong credentials in the
industry.
"Speaking on his appointment, Bolton says: "I am delighted to be
leading the corporate finance offering of the media and
entertainment practice at Grant Thornton and am looking forward to
contributing to the expansion of the team's already established
expertise and capabilities. It is gratifying to see a noticeable
increase in activity and that the team is continuing to sign up a
number of high quality mandates in the media space while still
delivering a second to none, multidisciplinary deal execution
service. The BBC Audiobooks deal, just announced, is testimony to
that."
