Grant Thornton Corporate Finance invests in new senior
appointments
Grant Thornton UK LLP announces a number of senior appointments
to bolster its corporate finance advisory business. Duncan Lamb and
Darren Bear have been promoted to corporate finance partner at
Grant Thornton UK LLP.
Grant Thornton has also recruited three new corporate finance
directors: Bob Alsop, James Robson and Steve White. The new
recruits take the total number of Grant Thornton corporate finance
advisers to 181 throughout the UK. The firm has 15 corporate
finance partners.

hires and wish to congratulate Duncan Lamb and Darren Bear on their
well-earned promotions. These investments demonstrate our
confidence and commitment to meet a growing demand among mid-market
firms to get tailored corporate finance advice," commented Geoff

Duncan Lamb is based in Grant Thornton's Reading office and has
worked in Grant Thornton's South East lead advisory team for the
last eleven years. Lamb has been a member of the technology team
since its inception.
Darren Bear joined Grant Thornton in 2005 and is based in its
Cambridge office. Whilst having experience in a range of sectors,
Bear has a particular focus on financial services, packaging, as
well as haulage and logistics.
Bob Alsop joined Grant Thornton's Reading office as director of
transaction advisory services and will be heading its due diligence
offering within the Thames Valley. Before joining Grant Thornton,
Alsop spent 12 years working for PwC in its due diligence team in
the south and east.
James Robson joined Grant Thornton as director in its media
Corporate Finance team and is based in London. Robson spent three
years in the media M&A team of KPMG before joining Grant
Thornton.
Steve White is a director in Grant Thornton's Milton Keynes
Corporate Finance team. White joins Grant Thornton from Deloitte
where he spent six years and focused on mid-market M&A and
private equity across a range of sectors including automotive,
marketing services and construction.
