Gary Markham (Director of Agriculture)
Gary has worked in farm and estate management, for the National
Farmers Union and Barclays Bank before joining Grant Thornton in
1987. In 1991, he spent 12 months working in Australia lecturing in
Rural Business Management.
Gary is the author of the first and second
editions of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Accountancy and
Auditing Guide for Farming. He is a governor of Writtle
Agricultural College and is a partner in a 2,000 acre farming
business
Gary is a member of the Agricultural Law
Association.

Gary specialises in setting up farming joint ventures, solving
business and people problems in larger family owned agricultural
businesses relating to strategic growth, inheritance planning and
succession and general business plans. Fresh produce and food
sector. Waste and renewables, particularly wind and hydro.
