Mike Warburton (Director)
Mike is Grant Thornton's lead spokesman on tax issues. He
specialises in providing tax advice to a range of high net worth
entrepreneurial clients and has frequently appeared in court on
forensic tax litigation assignments.
Experience
Mike joined Grant Thornton in 1980 and was submitted as Tax
Partner in 1984. Between 1984 and 1988 he was Regional Tax Partner
for Northamptonshire when he moved to Cheltenham, but is now based
in Bristol. In 1992 he was appointed Head of UK Tax Services
Nationally, becoming the firm's Senior Tax Partner in 1996. In that
role, he remains Grant Thornton's main spokesperson on tax matters
and regularly assist the national media with their coverage on tax
issues.
Mike was honoured with Lifetime Achievement awards from the
LexisNexis Taxation Awards and with Best Chartered Accountant in
Practice by the South West ICAEW for his exceptional and on-going
service to the tax profession.
